On Thursday, June 4th Body, Mind & Spirit for Dogs and Their People will be held at Fetch Doggy Day Care in West Ashley from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. This great fundraiser is being organized by Wild Heir Lab Rescue to raise funds for a two year old Lab, Callie. She was recently diagnosed with hip dysplasia in both legs and the proceeds for this event will go towards her surgery.

Body, Mind & Spirit for Dogs and Their People will include Dog Massages; Chair Massages (for People); Dog Tarot Card Readings, Dog Reiki and lots more.

The South Carolina Department of Agriculture has launched the Palmettovore Challenge. The Palmettovore Challenge is designed to challenge residents to eat locally and purchase your fruits and vegetables from SC Certified Growers. We had a great time at the 6th Annual Charleston Dog Show at Marion Square. It was great to meet so many other pet lovers and to see some of the competitions. The fair is from 8:30 – 3pm and admission is free. We had a great time at the 2009 Pet Fest held March 28 and 29, 2009 in Palmetto Island County Park in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.
